Begins Taking Consumer Orders for its HymotionTM L5 Plug-in
Conversion(April 29) - PR Release - A123Systems’
Hymotion product line is the only fully-tested PCM that
meets or exceeds federal requirements for crash-worthiness
and emissions. Based on independent testing, the L5 PCM will
enable a Toyota Prius to obtain fuel economies of more than
100 miles per gallon.

Electric X1 Prototype: Fast but unaffordable(April
28) - California - Last year the X1 Prototype was released
boasting accelerating from 0 to 60 in 3.07 seconds and 117
feet. The purely electric car can drive about 125 miles
under normal driving conditions and as low as 25 miles under
racing conditions before needing to recharge.

Chevy Volt prototype runs on

time!(April 25) - Bob Lutz told
the Detroit News in an interview
that “we’ve got the first car
running (with lithium-ion batteries)
… and what the guys get on
’sightings’ is a picture of an old
Malibu with black wheels and a very
